About Dr. Shanyn Lancaster,
Shanyn C. Lancaster, MD, is board certified in Family Medicine and Sports Medicine, and providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages is her top priority.
As the former Head Team Physician & Chief of Sports Medicine (and a Big Ten gymnast), Dr. Lancaster has a special interest in treating athletes and educating patients about health related issues that result from sports and training.
Dr. Lancaster completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine through Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan after training at the Columbia-St. Mary’s family medicine residency program in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan and attended the University of Minnesota, where she majored in finance and pre-medicine.
Dr. Lancaster has held multiple leadership positions and has previous experience as a professor/ Instructor at the Mayo Clinic, College of Medicine and Science. Her awards, honors, and professional activities include recognition from the Arizona Medical Board, Medical Consults, Arizona Academy of Family Physicians, Board of Directors, and Pac-12 Mental Health Task Force.
