Dr. Michael N. Desvigne is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in complex wound reconstruction. With certifications in plastic surgery, general surgery, wound care, and hyperbaric medicine, he brings a comprehensive and innovative approach to wound healing.
Dr. Desvigne pioneered the concept of Outpatient Wound Reconstruction (OWR) — blending cosmetic techniques with wound care under local or twilight anesthesia to optimize outcomes while reducing risk.
A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is also a member of ASPS, The Aesthetic Society, the Wound Healing Society, and several national wound care and hyperbaric medicine organizations. His work has led to the development of multiple inpatient and outpatient wound care programs nationwide.
